Happy Fathers Day in Coeur d'Alene ID

Chiropractic Coeur dAlene ID Father And Child

If two vegetarians get in an argument, is it still called beef?

Happy Fathers Day! This one is for you! We are so proud of the work and efforts you provide. It is an inborn want and desire in men to serve, provide, play, and protect. This is no small task, and often men get exhausted whether they show it or not. Fathers, and all men, have a responsibility in working hard, playing hard, and then recovering hard.

Dads work hard. Probably the most satisfying of the three. Finding fulfillment in work is one of the most important things a man can bring himself. The job itself does not have to bring massive change to the community, but it is invaluable to find purpose in effort and labor. Going back to times of hunter/gatherers’ there in an inborn fulfillment when men apply action and see results.

Dads play hard. Reconnecting with play is foundational to our primal state as well. Playing with family, friends, getting outside hiking, fishing, etc., brings rest and rejuvenation to a mans soul. When a man plays with family or friends, there is a shift in the blood flow in the brain. The blood flows from the “hind brain” which is more fight/flight in nature to the forebrain. The forebrain has key actions in emotion and behavior. This helps stimulate more intentional action, deeper thinking, and reconnection with a man’s highest priorities.

Dads need to recover hard. The days of “rub some dirt of it” are dead and gone (my dad said it too.) Recovery is just as important as working hard and playing hard. The body must adapt to the speed and stressors of life. If the body cannot adapt, slowly it will fail. There is no running from it or enough dirt that can save you. Intentional recovery to allow for proper adaptation is key to longevity. Why suffer any longer. As a father, being present for family and being able to give to family is the greatest fulfillment and joy. It makes a life worth living. Why would you try to give anything other than your very best? Time to fill your cup too, pops. You cannot pour from an empty cup. We exist to restore and maintain life in all family members. That means you, too.
